Founded on January 1st, 1998 in Bremen, German Tanker Shipping has been headquartered in Bremen ever since. As an established owner and operator of oil and chemical tankers, we combine long-standing maritime expertise with a strong commitment to safety, sustainability, and responsible governance.

Our fleet is currently undergoing a significant transformation with the addition of six modern ECO oil and chemical tanker newbuildings from China. With a capacity of 46,000 dwt and certified to IMO II and IMO III standards, these vessels are designed to enhance fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, and meet the highest environmental and regulatory requirements.

All key management functions — from construction supervision and operations to crewing, procurement, maintenance, finance, and quality and safety management — are centrally controlled from our headquarters at Eduard-Schopf-Allee in Bremen. This integrated and transparent approach has defined German Tanker Shipping since its foundation and remains the basis for safe, efficient, and sustainable ship operations today.
